Santa’s helper asked:
I’m cruising to the Bahamas in May, and wondering if I’ve never been scuba diving, and I’m not certified for it, is it possible for me to get trained there while I’m on my shore excursion and actually go scuba diving?

Yes!! Many times the Cruise liner will offer scuba training and trips for passengers, many at an additional fee. There are also companies along the shoreline, or a few streets back, that offer the same deal.
It is a lot of fun! I would really do it if I were you!!
why yes i do believe so why not check it out I have had friends that went their and went scuba diving and had a good time so if you have a number call and ask before you go and talk to them but i think you can so good luck and hope you have fun!! Have a great week
Yes – many cruise lines offer scuba certification. Your best bet, so you don’t waste cruise time, is to take a “Discover Scuba” class that combines the class and a dive or two.
This will let you dive with a certified Divemaster, for the length of your cruise.
Decide if you like it, then take the full certification class when you get home.
Yes, the above answers are correct. However if you get certified before you go you can spend more time diving instead of taking the class while there! Get certified now, you’ll love it!
